Somerset Nursery School

A Magical Learning Environment Supporting Children to Become Independent Thinkers and Learners

Somerset Nursery School is simply the most amazing learning environment for nursery aged children; stimulating, vibrant and challenging; a space carefully designed and organised to enable children to pursue their own curiosities, take risks and discover from first-hand experiences.

As a highly inclusive school, all children are recognised as unique individuals; learning is planned and facilitated by highly experienced adults, with vision and understanding to enable each child to flourish.

The school has been consecutively graded Outstanding by Ofsted and is used by the local authority and local teacher training providers as a centre of exemplary practice, supporting and developing high quality early years provision and practice across the borough, and beyond.

Testimonials

We wanted to share a hidden gem  in Battersea with all of you who have nursery-aged children or younger. Somerset Nursery is now home to our daughters during the weekdays and it is wonderful.

Located just off Battersea Square and a stone’s throw from Thomas’s School, the nursery is large and on ground floor level with plenty of natural daylight and multiple areas where children can play, read and learn. The outdoor play area is the safest, biggest and most exciting private play area we have ever seen at any nursery. Tailored to suit children at every level, it’s a haven for our girls who spend whole mornings out there playing inventive games and building dens.

Facilities aside, the best thing about Somerset Nursery is the phenomenal team who work there. Highly qualified and profoundly loving and kind, the staff teach the children to become independent and creative learners through opportunities which recognise and support each unique character.  The children race inside in the morning and never look back.

One final point is that it costs less than half the price of its private competitors.

Do pass this heartfelt recommendation on to anyone you know in the Chelsea, Battersea or Wandsworth area who may have young children looking to start nursery in due course.
